Enzo’s tours of Italy are designed around incredible food, plenty of good wine, a bit of culture and lots of fun. Eat and drink your way around southern Italy with Enzo, your local guide and friend. With hands on cooking classes and market visits you will learn to cook like mamma and take home recipes you will share with friends and family forever. This tour begins with an invitation to discover colourful Naples, birthplace of pizza and spiritual home of pasta. Enzo will lead you through his vibrant city taking in all the cultural highlights. Head out of the city towards the foot hills of Vesuvius and discover the ancient world of Pompeii. For the next few days Sorrento will be the base as we live “La Dolce Vita” exploring the Amalfi coast and spending an entire day on Capri, playground of the ancient Romans.

Naples and the Amalfi coast

Saturday, Day 1:
Arrival at Rome Fiumicino Airport.
Transfer to Naples (included).
Arrive at Hotel for the check in.
Welcome drink and introduction to the tour.
Late afternoon stroll in the city centre and dinner at local restaurant (included) Trattoria Nennella.

Sunday, Day 2:
Morning guided tour of the Royal Palace and park at Caserta, considered the “Versailles of Italy”, visit the luxurious rooms where the king of Naples lived and the beautiful gardens with a local guide.
Lunch in the medieval town of Caserta Vecchia in the hills nearby (included).
Afternoon: learn the secrets of the real Neapolitan pizza, in the heart of Naples with a hands-on experience at a traditional Neapolitan pizzeria.
Dinner at the pizzeria with what we have prepared (included).

Monday, day 3:
Morning guided tour of Naples and its castles, with market visit.
Seafood lunch in the marina (included) by the 900 years old Castello dell’Ovo.
Afternoon visit to Underground Naples to discover how the city was 2500 years ago, walk through amazing underground secret passages used as hideouts during the Second World War.
Dinner in Posillipo hill overlooking the bay of Naples (included).

Tuesday, Day 4:
Visit to a Buffalo mozzarella farm with demonstration on how to make this delicious cheese, made only in this part of the world.
Visit to Pompeii, a Roman city destroyed by the Vesuvius in 79 AD. We take a personal tour to discover this amazing town considered a holiday place for wealthy Romans.
Gourmet Pic-nic lunch (included).
Afternoon transfer to the hotel in Sorrento . Free time exploring the city.
Dinner at local restaurant (included).

Wednesday, Day 5:
Visit to Capri by boat, full day exploring this amazing island once inhabited by the Greeks and the Romans.
We will be guided by a local to the most spectacular places and have a great lunch in a Trattoria with breathtaking views (included). Learn the secrets of Limoncello making and get the recipe from a local.
Afternoon visit and free time in Anacapri, a very pretty town with shopping opportunities.
Late afternoon/early evening return to Sorrento.
Dinner in Sorrento (Not Included).

Thursday, Day 6:
Market shopping and seafood cooking class in a villa on the hills of Sorrento, we will learn how to prepare local dishes, with the freshest ingredients, and take home priceless recipes.
Lunch at the villa.
Visit to a winery in the afternoon, with wine tasting and cellar visit.
Dinner in Sorrento (not included).

Friday, Day 7:
Boat trip to Positano; explore this amazing village literally built in the rock clinging to the cliff edge overlooking the sea.
Free time in the town that has quaint little shops. Lunch at leisure (Not included).
Afternoon visit to the renowned Solimene ceramic factory in Vietri sul Mare.
Visit to Ravello, a spectacular town with luscious villas and breathtaking views over the Amalfi Coast.
Farewell dinner in Ravello.(included).

Saturday, Day 8:
Transfer to Rome or Naples Airport (included).
